Livingston Manor School System
Livingston Manor Central
Schools opened February 20, 1939,
and being of Georgian colonial
architecture, is considered one of
the most beautiful educational
structures in New York State. In
1960 and 1967, additions were made
to the main building of the school,
and renovations are ongoing.
Livingston Manor Central School prides itself on its record of placing
graduates in fine colleges and its
academic accomplishments and
extracurricular activities. To meet
the needs of the culturally diverse
population, special programs have
been developed within the school,
and cooperation and support is
greatly encouraged from the entire
community.
The elementary school's mission is to be the foundation of learning for
all Livingston Manor Central School
students. Livingston Manor
Elementary School believes in the
opportunity for their children to
reach great potential as lifelong
learners. Community and parent
cooperation helps to provide a
student-driven curriculum taught by
a supportive staff in a creative,
nurturing, and positive learning
environment.
Intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development is important to
the middle school curriculum.
Supportive atmospheres that
encourage parent and community
involvement help to inspire
discovery, promote success,
appreciate effort, and adds to the
learning experience of all

students.
The high school's mission is to be the best school for Livingston Manor
High School students by encouraging
healthy, positive self-images and a
desire to be lifelong learners. A
challenging, distinct, curriculum,
current with latest research and
standards, is taught by a
compassionate and professional staff
that promotes success in a safe
learning environment.
